Howdy Ya'll

Its July 2nd, which means Eric and I are going to start thinking about Spooky Walk 2008. It is the 20th Anniversary this year, and we are going all out! Chances are we aren't doing the woods this year, because we are hopefully moving on to bigger and better things inside. We have a few GREAT ideas for this year, and we are going to do one of the few ideas that we do have. It should be the best Spooky Walk yet this year, very exciting.

2008

Well it's finally 2008 which means this October the Spooky Walk will officially open for it's 20th year!
We had a great year this past year but we know that this coming October will be the best the Spooky Walk has ever been.
We're going to make sure of it! :D

We opened last night!

Unfortunately due to rain not many people showed up.
Only maybe 300 or 400ish came because there was a downpour during the day.
Of course right when we opened it stopped raining, AFTER everyone decided not to come!
Oh well, it was basically a practice for tonight.
Tonight is going to be insane. They already called in extra cops and ambulances to be there to keep it all under control.

So our exhibit, The Black Woods, went great!
We just had one strobe and one fog crap out on us from the rain.
We're going to buy new ones on the way there and just replace them.

The weather is looking great for tonight which means I'll get plenty of pictures and NIGHT VISION VIDEOS. ;]
The night vision videos are going to be hilarious and I can't wait!

The Black Woods will be unveiled this Friday when the Spooky Walk opens to the public for 2007!

The big night is 2 nights away!
Friday night the doors will open and thousands of people will storm in to get scared!
We're all very excited and proud of how it came out.
Unfortunately we couldn't post many updates because once we got it going we couldn't show what we were working on or we'd give it all away!
It's definitely going to be awesome though.

We're going every day this weekend to finish building and running electrical,
the next week involves putting the effects up (strobes, fogs, etc) and then it's done!
Keep checking back for pictures and videos!

Also after it's voer we'll be posting a full walkthrough of the entire exhibit.
Next year we will most likely be taking a house rather than the woods,
so we can reveal the secrets since it won't be there next year! ;]

Here are some update pics of the prgress we made on Saturday over at the Camp.

This is the frame for the entrance to the exhibit. You'll see how it's going to look once we work on it more. The doorway won't be that big. (My dad was there to help and he was trying to figure something out, don't mind him haha)


This is a coffin we brought over, which will be at the entrance and lit with a green or red light from inside.


This is our electric chair, it's laying on it's back. It almost looks like a recliner in the front thought, and that part will be coming off. It stands at I'd say about 6 feet-ish.
